There really is no secret to living longer better. We should be working towards this objective at all adult stages of our life, but often this only gets considered seriously when we are in our 50s and above.

Based on the work of Sir Muir Gray, Director of the Optimal Ageing Programme in Oxford, we will cover what ageing is and what it means for us, how we can reduce our risk of non-communicable diseases, and the importance of having purpose and a positive outlook. We will see that underpinning each of these factors is the importance of maintaining or improving our personal level of fitness, and the incredible benefits it can bring.

With a science background and following successful careers in the RAF and IT, Vicky Munro retrained as a personal trainer, Pilates and fitness Instructor and is a qualified exercise referral instructor, specialising in cancer (p)rehabilitation.  Vicky is passionate about the benefits that movement and activity can bring to everyone.

Admission is free but donations appreciated
